Hi beautiful! I am the owner and chief photographer of Trinimoi Photography. I am from Trinidad and Tobago, and after a wonderful international career in oil and gas, I decided to be a stay at home mom.
My hobby was doing school projects and creating fun stuff out of old diaper boxes for my 2 sons (2 and 4 years old). Apart from all the men in my house, I have no pets. I do miss my Lhasa Apso puppy, Whiskey, whom I re-homed when we moved continents (from USA to Australia). My hubby doesn’t want another puppy to potty train until the boys are potty trained too… Seriously though, I love puzzles, reading, drawing, writing, and international travel to photogenic spots.
Although I’m a really conservative person, I also really love dressing up in wild wigs and crazy costumes just to take photos. Confession: I try to get all my friends (and my bravest clients) to do it too. My secret dream is to get a really wild cosplay look together.
So what does this all have to do with Trinimoi Photography?
Well, I tried for 2 years to just be a housewife and supermom to my 2 toddlers (2 and 4). Those were the best and worst years of my life. I became frustrated and felt invisible. Being ‘just a mom’ was draining my spirit. Finally, I realized that I was not living my best life or even being the best mom I could be. My boys and I needed some more inspiration and joy… so I decided to start capturing the beauty around me, in my friends, in my children and my life through photography.
I want to help women, and especially moms, to feel and look refreshed, beautiful and inspired through makeover photography. Even under the best circumstances, the demands of life and family can overwhelm and deflate a woman’s self-image. I was there. I needed an image boost myself to get back to feeling successful and beautiful. I did my own transformation photoshoot as an act of therapy to restore my confidence. This photo here is the result. It reminds me that I am more than ‘just a mom’.
I do these type of shoots: mummy makeover and glamour photoshoots with my mom-friends and client-friends and they love the experience and the results. I offer traditional photography services, but makeover glamour shoots are my favourite.
